Greetings and welcome to my blog.

I’m an artist at heart I dabble in all things creative :)   Because of my A.D.D. I generally have 2 or 3 different projects going on at once and I may or may not finish any of them.  It’s the unfortunate nature of the beast.

A.D.D. can be a blessing at times, but at the worst of times it can wreak havoc on your life, your friendships and your family.  It’s never anything we INTEND to do…. we are just searching for that ever-elusive addiction we have….. STIMULATION.  The honest to goodness truth is… we the people with A.D.D. NEED stimulation to feel normal.  That’s right…. NORMAL.  Without it we are restless, depressed and generally lost in our daily routines.  Which is why we have so very many interests and we seem to hyper focus on things for a brief period of time before we move onto the next activity.  When the novelty wears off…. it’s no longer stimulating.  The same goes for relationships.

Yep, I said it.  It’s not something I’m proud of… but something I have experienced personally and after reading books on A.D.D. it all became very clear to me.  This dysfunction affects every single aspect of my life.  Not all at once and not ALL the time.  But at some time or another it has been there in all it’s glory to what it does… make things great, or cause problems.

People with A.D.D. tend to be creative (yep, definitely me) and very intuitive (yep again).  We also tend to be scatterbrained, easily distracted and “LAZY”.  We really aren’t lazy….. our mantra is “I’ll do it LATER!” as we happily move onto yet ANOTHER hobby or project, creating ANOTHER mess….. that we’ll clean up LATER! :)

So you can see how this MIGHT drive friends, family members and spouses of people with A.D.D. absolutely insane…. especially if you’re dating a very type A, in-control, tidy person….

So I’m going to get some help…..soon (hahaha! LATER!) cause I have some messes I still need to make.  And I’m going to blog about my experiences, my frustrations, maybe some of my past and of course my treatment.

I will also blog about other things in my life just for the sake of entertainment value :)

I do hope you enjoy!

With Love,

Kimberly
